About me
Greetings! I’m Idrees. I have a deep passion for crafting digital creations that reside within the realm of computers, where 0s and 1s shape intricate possibilities. My coding adventure started back in 2019 when I enrolled in the software engineering program at the University of Gothenburg. It was there that I unearthed my fervor for programming and realized the boundless potential within this dynamic domain.
Fast forwarding to the present, I have been fortunate enough to contribute to the growth and development of future software engineers as a teaching assistant at both the University of Gothenburg and Chalmers. Currently, my primary focus revolves around constructing e-commerce frontend products at Ellos Group, with a strong emphasis on crafting solutions that are accessible, inclusive, and centered around the needs of the customer.

Frontend Developer @ Ellos Group
June 2021 - Present
- Develop and maintain Ellos Group’s customer-facing e-commerce web apps, including Ellos, Jotex, and Homeroom
- Work with teams of developers, designers, and product owners to develop a new checkout flow for Ellos Group storefronts from a multi-page application to a single-page application, using Vue, Nuxtjs, and PlayWright to automate the testing of the checkout flow
- Developed an internal utility library to reduce code duplication across multi-frontend projects
- Assisting with the transition from Adobe Analytics to Google Analytics, and making sure the tracking is compliant with GDPR
- Work with a variety of different technologies, frameworks, and content management systems such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Vue, Nuxtjs, PlayWright, analytics, and Amplience
- Assisting in A/B testing of different UX/UI components
- Communicate with multi-disciplinary teams of engineers, designers, product owners, and analysts on a daily basis
